We believe that excellence should be passed on to those training in medicine, and so we are pleased to host qualified doctors completing their specialist training in General Practice.
We also supervise a number of medical students – consulting with these trainees will always be optional, but is often much appreciated by those they see. Your signed consent to see a medical student will be sought prior to your appointment and a GP will be reviewing every consultation too.
Occasionally we also accept requests for students seeking a work experience placement in General Practice. As this is a challenging but rewarding career we are keen that students are able to get a flavour before committing to the many years of study ahead. For this reason your consent may sometimes be sought ahead of a consultation to have a school student sat in observing. These students are made aware at the beginning of their placement with us that confidentiality is paramount and that any discovered breach would prevent a future medical career.
