maternity

Antenatal Care/Clinics

All doctors will provide antenatal care during normal surgery hours. After the first appointment with a doctor, this care is shared with the the community midwife and a hospital specialist if required. 

The midwife’s clinic is held on Monday and Tuesday mornings, messages can be taken and passed onto the midwife between 9am and 12pm.  Appointments are made by the midwife. The community midwife office is based at the Princess of Wales Community Hospital - 01527 488141.

Inhaler

Asthma/COPD Clinics

This clinic is led by Nurses with extended training in asthma. Patients are taught how to use their inhaler devices correctly, how to control their symptoms and how to monitor their progress.

Children's Health

Child Health & Immunisation

We recommend full vaccination of children. If you have any queries or concerns, please speak to your doctor or health visitor.  Appointments will be sent to you.

Child Development Checks

There is an option for development checks for pre-school children by the health visitors and a doctor at the appropriate intervals.

diabetes

Diabetic Clinic

This clinic is led by our Nurses with diabetic training and the Diabetes GP leads. A patient’s clinical condition is monitored and they are given appropriate advice relating to lifestyle and diet.

Ear Suction

Here at Churchfields we offer Micro-Suction for Redditch and Bromsgrove surgeries.

Family Planning

We also carry out family planning appointments at the Surgery. The clinic is led by a HCA and a female GP. Please contact us to speak with one of our family planning GP's. All consultations are confidential and open to those of any age. 

vaccinations

Flu Vaccination

These clinics are held every Autumn. We would advise a flu vaccination to all of those over the age of 65 and to those with chronic diseases such as asthma, diabetes, heart disease, kidney disease etc.

Minor Surgery

All aspects of minor surgery are offered including joint injections, removal of small lumps and bumps and the insertion of hormone implants. We also run a specialised wart clinic.

Teenage Lifestyle Clinics

Younger patients are invited to attend for advice regarding lifestyle (including diet, exercise, smoking and drugs), contraception (if necessary) and immunisation.

Research Trials

We are part of the Primary Care Research Network. From time to time, you may be invited to take part in a research study.  You are perfectly at liberty to decline without causing offence or having any effect on your future treatment. Our patients often enjoy the involvement when participating though.
