Extra Appointments

NHS England has released a small amount of money to support the winter pressures in general practice locally. This will provide on, on average, about 24 extra appointments on Mondays until the end of February (About a 3% increase during this period). These have to be book on the day appointments and will be released by reception in line with the other book on the day appointments.

Churchfields Surgery is pleased to be able to offer a number of additional services which may all be booked through reception:


Drivers Medical form D4 examination

Periodically required for HGV and PSV drivers. 30 minute pro-forma discussion with elements of examination included. Please bring a medication list and be prepared to provide a urine sample on arrival. Read more.



Comprehensive Ear Debris Clearance

Investment in a binocular microscope and extended ENT training allow us to provide an ear clearance service. This is ideal for those who struggle with ear wax build-ups and are seeking a rapid solution without the need for syringing. Read more.

£40*for one ear or £60 for two 


Other medical examinations and reports for insurance, employment, sport and other purposes are undertaken.  The current rates can be provided in a leaflet from the reception desk or available here: Churchfields Fee Leaflet.

*If no suction is required after initial assessment then only £22 will be charged. If it is not possible to adequately clear the ear canal during one visit then a complimentary follow-up visit will be offered. As this service may be offered, via a GP, on the NHS to our own fully registered patients we regret that we are unable to take direct bookings for those registered with us.
